It's Time for Cyber Shopping!
By now, everyone has heard of Cyber Monday, the online shopping frenzy that takes place the Monday after Thanksgiving. This year, according to ComScore Inc., consumers spent $733 million online on Cyber Monday, November 26. That is a 21 percent gain from the same day a year ago.
According to DoubleClick Performics, the first Monday after Thanksgiving is not the only Cyber Monday. Online retail sales continue to surge every Monday until Christmas Day. This year is expected to be an exceptional year with five Cyber Mondays-Thanksgiving is early and Christmas falls on a Tuesday. DoubleClick Performics says the fourth Monday is likely to be the biggest.
